Chapter Philanthropy

Each year, the Beta Upsilon chapter of Tri Sigma participates in a variety of philanthropy events with other Greek organizations. We participate in small scale philanthropy events, such as blood drives and game nights and also large scale events, such as THON. We are currently in the process of starting up an annual philanthropy events specific to our chapter: Pearls and Poker!

 

In March, our sisters paired with other Greek organizations for Sundae Fundae, in which they scooped and served ice cream to those that came to the event. Our sisters also paired up with a fraternity to raise money for Centre County PAWS, a local animal shelter. The shelter brought a couple of dogs to run around and play with us. 

 

In April, our sisters participated in some annual events at Penn State: Sigma Chi Derby Days and Greek Week. Our sisters competed or attend in different events to earn points towards our team, and the winner received money towards their philanthropy. 

 

To end the semester, our sisters paired with a fraternity for an "End of The Year Splash." Our sisters entered a dunk tank to raise money towards our philanthropy.
